About a week ago we read "How Chipmunk Got His Stripes". It is a Native American folktale. In the story there is a bear who is quite prideful. We have also been learning about synonyms. I though we would tie it together the story and synonym, and write describing sentences that had synonyms for Bear. When they finished they also got to do a craft of bear. Not sure if I would want to stumble across that bear in real life. :).
